Due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our local businesses and the health protocols and social distancing requirements to hold large events like our run, we have decided NOT to hold our Falling Leaves 5K Run on October 10, 2020. Our race has always been a community event with many local families enjoying the day socializing and partaking of the delicious food and refreshments provided by local businesses and our church family. This type of event would be very difficult, if not impossible, to hold this year. While some races are holding virtual runs, many of these have been rescheduled from Spring and Summer dates to the Fall, which makes for a very crowded race calendar.
While we are very disappointed not to be holding our 5K Run this year, the Falling Leaves 5K Committee of the Ballston Spa United Methodist Church fully expects to return in 2021 with our 5K Run on October 9th.
BSUMC greatly appreciates the generous support of Ballston Spa's wonderful local businesses. We hope we can again count on your support next year so that we can continue donations to worthy local charities, which to date, have amounted to over $54,000.
