Important Announcement
Since the Covid average has risen, we are returning to some of the previous Covid restraints. We will not be taking temperatures or contact tracing. However, we ask that all people wear masks, not just the unvaccinated. Singing is again not permitted, and in-person coffee hour has been suspended. All entering the church will need to come in through the south door and exit through the north door. Please maintain social distancing. We acknowledge that this continues to be a challenging time and appreciate everyone’s efforts and caring for one another.

Fall…It’s Closer Than You Think
That’s right- fall is here. That means the Upper New York Annual Church Conference is right around the corner, and the report forms for key leaders are here now. Please look for them in your mailbox soon.
Did You Know?
Our services are posted to Facebook and on our website. If you Like it on Facebook and share it, it will reach many more people than if it is just on our Facebook page. You can also direct anyone to the Recent Posts page of this site (https://www.ballstonspaumchurch.org/recent-posts), which is where the service is posted weekly. This would be spreading the Word of God, as we are told to do in the Bible.
Prayer Group
Please consider joining our prayer group. This is an on-line way of praying for each other’s needs and praising God for what is happening in each other’s lives. If you would be interested in being involved, please either call or email the office and you can be set up.
This week's prayer concerns:
Please reach out to people who are alone during this time. A card or phone call will let them know they are not alone or forgotten.
News from a Friend
School has started, and I love seeing all the new little faces, ready for a new year!
I can’t move into my permanent apt until Sept 8th, so not much unpacking has been done. Actually my stuff is still all in NY. But anyway, I’m in an Airbnb living out of a suitcase, but things have been great so far.
I will certainly be up for many visits! I am already starting to think about my first one. I have been thinking of everyone up north while getting settled into new norms down here. Definitely different down here. But things have been great, have already done lots of exploring.
Hope all is well up there. Stay safe.

This week's prayer concerns:
- Ilah Sisson Walser sends this: A while ago I asked for prayers for a baby boy Colton who was born very premature. Good news - Colton has been home for a week now and is doing well. He is up to 5 pounds, still so tiny. He is very handsome and has all of his family wrapped around his little finger. They are totally smitten and in love.
- Ruth Persons asks for prayers for Tim who will be undergoing open heart surgery on August 30th. Please pray for him and the doctors and nurses who will be performing the surgery. Tim is her girlfriend's twin brother.
- Sue Cramer asks for prayers for their granddaughter Megan who will be having more surgery next week. FYI...her heart is fine.
- Pat Jones asks for prayers of comfort for Jim, a local man of ninety-three, who is in ill health.
- Mary Drake is thankful that her sister's biopsy was benign. Thanks be to God!
- Pastor Kelly asks for prayers of healing as she continues P/T for her leg and foot.
- Carrie Adserias requests to add a prayer Kyle's Grandma Carleen who has been battling with spreading cancer and treatments for a while now and is currently suffering with complications. Lord, hear our prayers.
- Ilah Sisson Walser asks for prayers for a family friend who is going through another bout with cancer with specialized treatments. Please add her to your prayers. Thank you.
- Please put Bill on our prayer list. He is an Elk member who monthly delivers many bags of groceries to our Food Pantry. He has cancer and will be going to Albany Med. for advice on treating it.
- A friend of Ruth Persons needs prayers for healing due to multiple health issues. Thank you for your care and concern for Tina.
- Please continue to keep Bill Haege, Marilynn Peterson, and Bob Elbertson in your prayers.
Please reach out to people who are alone during this time. A card or phone call will let them know they are not alone or forgotten.
