This week's edition of Ministry Matters can now be read here. It's posted each week on the Ministry Matters tab of this website. This morning’s message from Pastor Kelly was titled, “Ushering in Jubilee for All,” from Leviticus 25. Music included “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot.” We also featured a music video from Hezekiah Walker called, “Better,” which was posted on this page earlier this afternoon. We appreciate all who have continued to contribute to the church’s ministries. You can give online securely here. Once again having challenges getting the video of this morning's service to post.... but we'll keep trying.
This morning's service will be posted this evening. Meanwhile, enjoy the music video we used to close this morning -- Hezekiah Walker's "Better". People come, people go Your life has been out of control You're confused, don't worry your soul It will get better (Better) It will get better (Better) It will get better God is in control Find your praise within your heart Hold it close, don't ever depart It gets cold in the night But you'll be alright Whatever state I find myself in I learned how to be secure Knowing that God will supply all my needs And He'll work things out for my good This week in worship, we shared Bishop Webb’s message from the opening session of Upper New York Annual Conference. Music included “All I Need Is You,” “Give Me Jesus,” and “Good, Good Father.” Our music team was led & accompanied by Cathy King. We also featured a special Father’s Day video from The Skit Guys! We appreciate all our givers; you can give online securely by clicking here. You can now view this week's worship service at the post above this one, or use this link for the video on Facebook. You can view it without having a Facebook account.
This morning in worship, we watched Bishop Webb's message from the opening session of this week's Upper New York Annual Conference. We will be posting the service in its entirety this evening, but in the meantime here is the Bishop's message. Bishop Mark Webb of Upper New York Annual Conference has announced his intention to reappoint Pastor Kelly Warner as half-time pastor here at Ballston Spa UMC. We celebrate that she has been with us 3½ years now. Starting July 1st, in addition to serving here, she will also be appointed to serve 1/4-time at the Round Lake United Methodist Church.
While most everything remains the same, there will be a change made to our worship time. To facilitate her serving both churches, our district superintendent Debbie Earthrowl has set our worship time at 10:30, beginning July 4. Stay tuned as we explore what time may work best for our online and in-person coffee hours. Beginning on Sunday, June 20th, we will rejoice in no longer taking temperatures or contact tracing. For those who are vaccinated, masks will not need to be worn. Masks will be needed for those who are unvaccinated. Any worship volunteers greeting, ushering, or helping with holy communion will wear a mask. We acknowledge that this has been a difficult time and appreciate everyone’s efforts and caring for one another. Pastor Kelly's most recent message, "Don't Just Do Something, Stand There... Then Do Something," is available to read here. Messages are posted weekly on the Blog tab. |
