This morning we began to get ready for the coming of Jesus, starting with the song "Prepare Ye" from the movie "Godspell". The scene depicts John the Baptist baptizing in a unique way to help people get ready. This morning’s message is called, “Happy Anticipation”, taken from Mark 13:28-37. Music includes “People Look East”, sung by Kelly Schmidt; “Somewhere in Your Silent Night”, sung by Dorothy Collins; “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”, played by the Bell Ensemble; and a Postlude with Cathy King playing “Emmanuel”. The music video we featured as our Centering Music will be posted separately. This week's Ministry Matters newsletter has been posted here. You can find all newsletters by following the Calendar and Events heading on this page to the Announcements subheading. While Pastor Kelly is on vacation this week, we’re grateful for Ruth Persons & Linda Sheeran for leading worship this morning. Because of a technical issue, we were unable to record audio from any but the pulpit microphone, so the service video does not include any of the music. As we approach Thanksgiving, a reminder to help you prepare... thanks to Linda Sheeran for maintaining our sign and submitting the photo.
