Every October, the UMC observes Laity Sunday, a time to recognize and celebrate the gifts and graces of all the people of the congregation. Thanks to our Lay Leader, Ruth Persons, and our Lay Delegate to Annual Conference, Linda Sheeran, for leading us in worship today. Linda shared the message, “Silver Linings”, based on Exodus 33:12-23.
During the pandemic, you can download current editions of the Upper Room at this link, because our church is a current subscriber.
The text of Sunday's sermon can be read here. The video is posted here. The Scripture can be found here.
"Ready and Steady Christians" is the message for this week, based on Philippians 4:1-9. Operator error is responsible for the compromised sound quality; that will be corrected next week.
We will be holding our End of Summer picnic this Saturday, October 10th, from 11 am to 1 pm! It will be held at Kelley Park this year. Due to state guidelines, it will not be a potluck; please bring food for your family. Masks must be worn, and social distancing must be observed. No bathrooms will be available.
