We intended to present this Zach Williams video, "Chain Breaker", this morning during worship, but experienced technical issues. The service video will be posted in late afternoon/early evening.
This morning's service featured this worship video from Hillsong Worship. The service will be posted in its entirety this evening.
This morning's service will be posted this evening. Meanwhile, enjoy the music video we used to close this morning -- Hezekiah Walker's "Better".
People come, people go
Your life has been out of control
You're confused, don't worry your soul
It will get better (Better)
It will get better (Better)
It will get better
God is in control
Find your praise within your heart
Hold it close, don't ever depart
It gets cold in the night
But you'll be alright
Whatever state I find myself in
I learned how to be secure
Knowing that God will supply all my needs
And He'll work things out for my good
Good morning! It’s the second Sunday after Epiphany. Pastor Kelly’s message is called, “God’s Not Caught by Surprise”, based on Psalm 139:1-18 and John 1:43-51. Music includes “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus”, piano solo by Greg Wilson; “Be Thou My Vision”, sung by Kelly Schmidt, accompanied by Cathy King; and “The Potter’s Hand” and “Cry of My Heart”, sung by Mark Warner. The sermon features the video of “You Hold It All Together”, performed by Maverick City Music. (Note: a miscommunication caused Greg’s solo to be credited to both Greg and Anna Wilson).
Even though this is technically from the "passion" section of the Messiah, it's hard to imagine a much better way to capture the joy of Christmas finally arriving...
Kings and shepherds make their way
Straight to where the Baby lay;
Rich and poor and lonely
Bow before this sight.
A star has led them to this place.
The Word that’s been echoing through space
Becomes a Child tonight.
Greg & Maddy Wilson have gifted the church with Christmas music! Enjoy this video; you may want to use it as the “prelude” for the Christmas Eve service which will be posted tomorrow.
Our church's musicians, under the leadership of Music Director Cathy King, have been recording a lot of Christmas music this season. From top to bottom: "Angels We Have Heard on High"; "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear"; "O Come, O Come Emmanuel"; and "O Little Town of Bethlehem". There will be more carols and special music in the Christmas Eve service, posted Thursday morning, and the December 27 service!
Wise men still looking for Him
Children still come and adore Him
We will bow down before Him
The Savior is born in Bethlehem
Tonight's Christmas song is a gentle modern adaptation of "Silent Night"...
