Office Hours Tu/W/Th 10-2 | Phone 518-885-6886 | Pastor's Phone 518-309-3737
Welcome as we worship online and in person. Share a warm welcome with others. Coffee hour is held in the Connections Café following the service. Coloring sheets, offering envelopes, and mission baskets are located near both entrances to the church.
The Directories Are Here!
If you did not receive your directory, they may be picked up in the office during office hours. If you are unable to make it during that time, please let the office know and we can work out a way to get it to you. Since there is a limited number of directories, we ask that you take only one.
Fellowship Dinner New Date
Just for this month the Fellowship dinner will be held on June 20. It will still be 6 pm and we will be in the church café. Dinner will be pizza from Pizza Etc. The entertainment will be shorts on the TV. Join us for some food and fun. Let Stan Lockwood know your pizza preference at [email protected] or 518-885-1552.
Hannaford Supports our Food Pantry
BSUMC Food Pantry has been selected again by the Store Leadership Team at Hannaford. This means that we will receive $1 from every $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger Bag sold during the month of June at Hannaford at 11 Trieble Avenue, Ballston Spa. Help the Food Pantry and buy a Fight Hunger Bag… or two!
Skye Farm Camp Registration Open
Skye Farm Camp will be open to campers and financial assistance is available. Families who send multiple campers are eligible for a sibling discount. For more information about this year’s programs you may go to their website at skyefarmcamp.org. The camp is located at 1884 E. Schroon River Road in Warrensburg. Contact site director Robyn Vernon if you have questions at [email protected].
Can You Help?
There is a need for people to become involved in our Facebook, website, sound system, and livestream. Mark Warner has been doing this work for the past 5 ½ years and will be sorely missed. Please consider talking to Mark to see how you can help. And thank you, Mark, for your dedication.
Fair Trade Coffee or Chocolate
Fair Trade products are available! Chocolate bars (Sea Salt with Caramel Crunch or Sea Salt with Almonds - sorry, the Extra Dark Panama bars are gone), and coffees (Regular breakfast blend, Hazelnut, and Decaf) can be purchased by contacting Stan Lockwood at 518-885-1552 or at [email protected]. Remember that with summer approaching, chocolate will be available for a limited time. Enjoy some chocolate or coffee soon!

From your Staff Parish Committee
One of their responsibilities is to serve as a liaison between the congregation and the pastor. They offer counsel to a minister but aren’t their supervisor. They help a pastor discern how best to use their time and gifts to effectively serve the congregation. This team is also responsible for supporting the pastor and their family, ensuring vacations are scheduled and all is well cared for at the parsonage. They evaluate the pastor’s effectiveness annually.
This team is also in charge of writing job descriptions for church staff, then hiring, evaluating and terminating their job if necessary. They recommend salaries and benefits for all staff. If you have questions, compliments, or concerns to share about any of the church staff or the pastor please communicate with our team. Nothing sent anonymously will be reviewed. The goal is to listen, understand and discern whether or not some action or recommendation might be needed. The team (listed below) will be back in touch and communicate what is done, or has been decided.
