Office Hours Tu/W/Th 10-2 | Phone 518-885-6886 | Pastor's Phone 518-309-3737
Welcome as we worship online and in person. Share a warm welcome with others. Coffee hour is held in the Connections Café following the service. Coloring sheets, offering envelopes, and mission baskets are located near both entrances to the church.
Day of Fasting Requested
Bishop Hector is asking United Methodists of Upper New York to engage in a day of fasting on May 30. This designated day allows individuals to surrender themselves fully to God, opening their hearts and minds to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Peace With Justice Sunday is June 4
Our Social Principles call us to love our enemies, seek justice, and serve as reconcilers of conflict. We insist that the first moral duty of all nations is to work together to resolve by peaceful means every dispute that arises between or among them. Each Annual Conference has a Peace with Justice Coordinator developing local social justice ministries. Fifty percent of our special collection next week remains in our annual conference to support this ministry.
The Directories Are Here!
If you did not receive your directory in church on Sunday, they may be picked up in the office during office hours. If you are unable to make it during that time, please let the office know and we can work out a way to get it to you. Since there is a limited number of directories, we ask that you take only one.
Hannaford Supports our Food Pantry

From your Staff Parish Committee
One of their responsibilities is to serve as a liaison between the congregation and the pastor. They offer counsel to a minister but aren’t their supervisor. They help a pastor discern how best to use their time and gifts to effectively serve the congregation. This team is also responsible for supporting the pastor and their family, ensuring vacations are scheduled and all is well cared for at the parsonage. They evaluate the pastor’s effectiveness annually.
This team is also in charge of writing job descriptions for church staff, then hiring, evaluating and terminating their job if necessary. They recommend salaries and benefits for all staff. If you have questions, compliments, or concerns to share about any of the church staff or the pastor please communicate with our team. Nothing sent anonymously will be reviewed. The goal is to listen, understand and discern whether or not some action or recommendation might be needed. The team (listed below) will be back in touch and communicate what is done, or has been decided.
A Hymn Story
The hymn, “Blessed Assurance”, was written 150 years ago in New York City by Fanny Crosby and Phoebe Palmer Knapp. It was almost instantly popular and in its first year was published in three different publications. In the past 150 years it has been recorded by many artists including Carrie Underwood, Alan Jackson, CeCe Winans, Glen Campbell, and Third Day. It is number 369 in the United Methodist Hymnal.
