This spring marks my 26th year in ministry; this is the 7th church I’ve served on that journey and it will be my last. I’ve been a United Methodist pastor since I was 30 - that chapter is coming to an end for me on June 30th.
God’s calling me toward new ways to serve. I’ve been behind a pulpit a long time, urging others to make a difference outside the walls of the church. I feel led to devote some of my time and energy to improving the lives and circumstances of people who live on the margins. The needs are immense, those helping meet them are too few. I trust God will guide me toward the particular area where I can be best used.
I know God can still use me to bless and strengthen His church, but I don’t know what all that might look like. I’m walking by faith, not by sight. I feel a deep assurance that God is leading me toward the future He has planned for me, and it is good.
I’m very grateful to have served here at Ballston Spa as your pastor. My family and I have been blessed by so many of you - you’ve enriched our lives. God will surely watch over you and us, as He leads us toward our tomorrows.
In Christ’s service,
Pastor Kelly Warner
