![]() Hello friends, a reminder that the Zoom Bible Study on Women of the Bible will be starting this Wednesday at 7:30 PM, continuing each Wednesday during Lent. It's not too late to let us know you want to participate -- in fact, each week is its own study so you can attend as you are able. This week's topic is "Keturah: A Wise Second Wife". Let us know in the comments if you'd like the link or call Pastor Kelly at 309-3737. ![]() February 17th was Ash Wednesday, marking the start of the holy season of Lent. The Board of Discipleship of our United Methodist Church has come up with a really interesting challenge for churches this year and Pastor Kelly is inviting us all to try this. Follow this link to find calendar pages naming specific things you have in your home or life. You’re challenged to count up how many you have of each item, then set aside that many coins for the day. You can use whatever change you have on hand. When Easter arrives, we hope we’ll be able to gather again for worship. If so, please join us -- and bring along your joyful, jingling Easter offering! Good morning! This week Pastor Kelly's message is called, "Surrendered Lives", using Luke 9:57-62. Music includes "Come Away with Me," sung by Mark Warner, and "I Surrender All," sung by Kelly Schmidt with piano by Cathy King. Let us know in the comments if you're singing along! After the benediction, keep watching for Jeremy Camp's music video for his song, "Keep Me in the Moment". As we enter the season of Lent, here is a brief service of meditation and music, using Scripture from Joel 2 and including the songs "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling" and "Create in Me a Clean Heart". In addition to our own service, which will be posted early Wednesday, you may also choose to participate in a live online Ash Wednesday service called "A Night with New Room", presented by a national ministry called Seedbed. The schedule is as follows:
7 PM: Welcome 7:05 -9:00 PM • Movement One: Reality and Humility (and imposition of ashes), led by David Thomas • Movement Two: Self Examination and Repentance, led by Rica McRoy • Movement Three: Desire and Intercession, led by Kevin Queen • Movement Four: Hope and Anticipation, led by J.D. Walt Worship led by Matt Maher and poetry by Lo Alaman 9:05 PM: Sending Forth with Blessing To register (free) and join, visit newroomconference.com.
Good morning! Pastor Kelly's message this week is titled, "All for One and One for All," using 2 Corinthians 8:1-15. Music includes "God So Loved" and "Here I Am, Lord", led by Mark Warner; and "Christ, Whose Glory Fills the Skies" and "I Stand Amazed in the Presence", led by Albert Schmidt with Cathy King on piano. Lyrics are included and we encourage you to sing along from your home. Hello friends, there was a technical issue that will delay us in posting this week's service video. We expect to get it resolved and post the video by noon on Sunday. We apologize for the delay.
