Four times a year, after the Sunday service, a group of servants from the church makes the trip to Latham to volunteer at the Northeast Regional Food Bank. The volunteers spend a couple of hours sorting the food donated to or purchased by the Food Bank into packing boxes to facilitate distribution to local food banks around the region (including our own). We learn that we are helping feed hundreds of people all around the Capital District. It's a satisfying time of service, a fun time of fellowship, and quite often culminates in a communal stop for ice cream.
